Enter the Data Export Feature
We just shipped a self-service data export tool for our Pro users. With a single click, you can generate a complete archive of your entire account. There is no vendor lock-in here. If you ever decide to move your records to another service or just want a local copy for backup, you can do so in seconds.
What is in the Archive?
When you click "Create export", our servers package your account data into a standard ZIP file. The download contains two main spreadsheets: totes.csv containing all your storage locations and containers, and items.csv detailing every item, its quantity, and its tags. The ZIP also includes every item photo you have ever uploaded, preserving their original resolution. We structure this files simply so you can open them in any spreadsheet software or import them into a custom database.
Security and Privacy by Design
Physical storage is personal. To protect your home inventory, we restricted the data export tool to the household owner. Member accounts cannot trigger an export, preventing unauthorized downloads of your family data. We also implemented a cooldown timer on the endpoint. You can request one full export every 24 hours, ensuring our database remains fast for everyone else.
