Accurate Counts and Complete Privacy: Two New Features

We built Tote-Pilot to bring order to physical storage. Today, we are releasing two features designed to improve inventory accuracy and privacy controls: Item Quantities and Household Owner-Only Visibility.

Keep Accurate Counts with Item Quantities

Tracking items is only half the battle. Often, you store multiples of the same object in a single location, such as box of paint rollers, emergency light bulbs, or spare parts. Previously, you had to list each item separately or note the count in the description text. That felt slow and cluttered.

Our new quantity system lets you adjust counts directly from the item card or specify the number when adding the item. This keeps your search results clean and your records accurate.

You can adjust the count on the fly using the new increase and decrease buttons on the item card. This ensures your digital records match your physical storage with minimal taps.

Protect Your Privacy with Household Owner-Only Visibility

Sharing your storage inventory with family or roommates is useful. However, sometimes you do not want to share everything. You might be storing gift boxes, private documents, or sensitive personal items that should remain hidden from other household members.

We added a new visibility setting to address this. When creating or editing a tote, you can now restrict its visibility to the household owner only. Members of your household will not see these totes in their dashboard or search results.

The Household invitation system is a Pro-only feature, which means this new visibility option is also a Pro-only feature. It gives the account owner full control over their sensitive data while still sharing bins with the household.
