Beyond the Tote: Organizing Anything with Tote-Pilot
Tote-Pilot isn't just for plastic bins. Learn how to use it for toolboxes, drawers, moving boxes, and more.
When people hear "Tote-Pilot," they naturally think of plastic storage totes. And they should! That is what we built it for. But the "Tote" in Tote-Pilot is really just a metaphor for "Container."
Thinking Outside the (Plastic) Box
A "tote" can be anything that holds other things. The app doesn't care if it's a transparency bin from a big-box store or a vintage wooden chest.
Creative Use Cases
- Toolboxes: Snap a photo of your messy wrench drawer. Tag it "Toolbox - Top Drawer." Now you know exactly where that 10mm socket is (or isn't).
- Moving Boxes: Moving house? Label your boxes "Kitchen 1," "Bedroom 3," etc. Scan the contents before you seal them. When you arrive, you won't have to open 50 boxes to find the coffee maker.
- Workbench Drawers: Organize your screws, nails, and fasteners.
- Suitcases: Storing off-season clothes in luggage? That's a tote!
